The short answer is "yes"...
The long answer depends on what the server is doing and may be an indication of a problem with the agent. Most cases this logging informaiton can be deleted as it holds historical client messages related the backup agent. However, these messages are also used for diagnostics so do use your best judgment in deleting this file or not. The following paths are the default locations for the log files in question:
- Windows - D:\Program Files\Atempo\tina\Adm\event.txt
- Linux - /var/Atempo/tina/Adm/event
One other note, this file will automatically recreate itself if there is not file present to write to. So, there should be no need to restart the services on either Windows or Linux to get this file to get re-created.
