Configuration of NLB
10:59 PMNLB Configuration (Step by Step)
In this current scenario I have renamed the NIC cards to NLB11 and NLB12 and set to DHCP prior to NLB configuration and following considerations are taken:
Node1 Cluster IP: 10.0.0.11
Node2 Cluster IP: 10.0.0.12
Cluster IP of NBL: 10.0.0.10
NLB Cluster name: cluster.domain.com
***Node 1***
Node1 Network Configuration:
Node2 Network Configuration:
Open nlbmgr.exe to setup Network Load balancing:
Specify the Cluster IP address for NLB
Click Next:
Specify the Node1 to detect for the cluster and click on Connect:
Select the NIC card that you want to add to the NLB cluster:
Specify the Node1 IP address for the NLB Cluster and click Finish.
It will start adding the Node1 to the NLB Cluster:
After Nod1 is added to the NLB, right click on the cluster to add another node (node2) to the NLB Cluster:
After Nod1 is added to the NLB, You can add another node (node2) to the NLB Cluster and click connect:
Select the NIC card from the node that will be part of the NLB Cluster:
Configure the IP address planned for node2 of the NLB Cluster and click finish.
Once clicked on Finish button and it will start adding the 2nd node to the NLB cluster:
Once added reboot both the nodes to complete the configuration.
