· Verify if the server is online and accessible
· Check if the service (specified in the ticket) is started or in stop state.
· If found in Started status:
o Verify if the server was rebooted.
o If the service was crashed need to go through the Event logs to find out the cause of crash
o Check if the service was restarted due to any dependency on any other service.
If found in Stop status:
o Start the service
o Verify the event log to find the cause why service stopped
o If not able to start the service go through the event log for further troubleshooting to start the service.
