· Ping the server to verify if the server is reachable via IP address

o If found server reachable check the event viewer/ VC log to find out if there was a planned reboot or got rebooted unexpectedly (if unexpectedly need the root cause of it to avoid such issues in future).

o Check the uptime of NIC status to find out if there was a network fluctuation or NIC issue.

o Run the command “Net statistics Server” to know more info since server is up.

· Open the console of the server via VC or ILO to check if any error message on the console or verify event viewer

· If server found in hung state the server is eligible for reboot.
