How do you delete a virtual disk from a Dell DAS array?
7:26 PM
In order to delete a virtual disk from a
Dell DAS array, you need to log into the host in question and remove its
configuration using the Dell Modular Disk Storage Manager utility.
Please do note that this action WILL delete the actual virtual disk and
remove any virtual disk mappings associated to the virtual drive.
- Open the Dell Modular Disk Storage Manager utility and navigate to
the Logical tab. Right click on the virtual disk you wish to delete and
select Delete.
- You will receive a confirmation screen of which you have to type in
the word "yes" to confirm you want to delete the selection before
clicking on OK.
- You will then get a tasks pop-up window open and confirm if the
task completes successfully or not. If it does, you can clock on OK to
complete the transaction.
