Testing the Published Applications in Citrix XenApp 6.5
8:59 PM- Login with any CTXuser part of CTXgroup1
- Configure Hotplugin client
- Connect Hot-plugin client ( Login) and provide CTXuser details
- Click OK to log on.
(Open the Notepad, Microsoft Word and XenAppServer Desktop published resources to ensure that they were published correctly. Do not close them.) - Click the Citrix online plug-in icon and select Desktops > XenAppServer Desktop to launch the XenAppServer Desktop.
- Click the Citrix online plug-in icon in the navigation tray and select Applications > Notepad to launch Notepad.
- Click the Citrix online plug-in icon and select Applications > Microsoft Office > Microsoft word to launch the application.
- Switch to XenAppServer Machine
- Log on to the XenAppServer machine as the Citrix Administrator user
- Launch the Delivery Services Console on the XenAppServer machine.
- Click Start > All Programs > Citrix > Management Consoles > Delivery Services Console.
- Expand the XenApp > Coolidge nodes and click the Servers node.
- Click the Users tab to view the current sessions.
- Verify that the Microsoft Office sessions exist for the CTXUSER user.
- Send a message to the CTXUSER session warning that "This session will be disconnected soon.
- Right-click on the Microsoft Word session and select Send message. The Message window opens.
- Type This session will be disconnected soon. In the Message field and click OK.
- Switch to the Windows 7 machine to view and accept the message and then switch back to the XenAppServer machine.
- Log off the Microsoft Word session using the Delivery Services Console and then switch to the Windows 7 machine to verify that the Microsoft Word application closed.
- Right click the Microsoft Word session, click Log off and then click Yes to confirm.
- Switch to Windows 7 Machine, Close all applications
- Open Internet Explorer
- Type http://XenAppserver/Citrix/XenApp
- Login with CtxUser of CTXuser2 group
- Test whether you are able to launch applications
